Lovely Yorkshire coaching inn dating back to 1257, dogs allowed in all rooms, good food and beer, dog bowl available, nice river walks, very traditional. Family-run inn with warm, cosy bars. Convenient for Harrogate, York, the dales and moors. Mouth-watering meals, traditional ales and superbly-appointed rooms.
