Animals In Distress Sanctuary Founded in 1967, we at Animals in Distress try to alleviate the suffering of sick and injured animals. This is our main goal! We achieve this by using a number of methods such as: a 24-hour rescue service, veterinary treatment, neutering and a micro-chipping scheme. We also aim to educate the public through advice programmes and work experience placements. Our charity aims to help strays, abandoned animals, cruelty cases and road traffic accidents and with our new Retirement Home we are able to offer long term care to older animals. We take in any animal from cats, dogs, rabbits, birds & horses to pigs, sheep, goats & reptiles. We never turn anyone away – every creature deserves to be treated with respect and be loved. But we cannot survive without your help – IT ALL COSTS! We rely heavily on the generosity of the public through donations, helpers and fundraisers. Our services cost, so any help would be gratefully recieved.
