Underhill Riding Stables
We at the Underhill Riding Stables are one of the friendliest riding stables in the whole of Wales! Our friendly, qualified, and experienced team are here to ensure you have a relaxed ride on one of our lovely, quality horses and ponies, no matter what your age or riding ability. We always aim to make your time with us an experience that you would like to repeat! We offer a variety of services here at our base in Powys, such as riding lessons, hacking, breaking & schooling, and we have a tack shop for all your equestrian needs.
Our Stables has grown from a simple green field surrounded by 100 acres of grass, woodland and hills into a busy family run riding school for all ages. For the past 30 years, we have been introducing people from all walks of life to our beautiful unspoilt Radnorshire countryside. Several months of the year are spent guiding each of our customers around our hills on one of our hand picked well groomed horses and ponies, allowing them to appreciate the wonderful scenery and indigenous flora and fauna.
Riders of all abilities are able to enjoy these wonderful surroundings on horseback by either making use of our excellent lessons in one of our two outdoor arenas, or hacking out into the woodland or hills for a variety of lengths of rides. With one of our experienced team members, less confident riders can take a leisurely hour around the farmland and hills, or for those who are more experienced, you can go for longer rides up into Radnor Forest for a good long gallop.
As an added bonus, we have been a PONY CLUB CENTRE for almost 20 years now. Using our expertise, we train both children and adults through BHS qualifications, both Riding and Horse Care. At present, it is delivered in association with Haddon Training.
In our tack shop, we have a wide selection of new (and second hand) saddles, bridles, products and accessories as well as a variety of riding clothing and equipment.
